The Glory of God, even in its rarest moments, can be readily seen if you simply take the opportunity to, "Be Still and Know." He is waiting to reveal Himself to you.
"Be Still and Know," (wow what a name for this cottage.) That pretty well says it all. Because you know God is there with you in this place. Waking up in the mornings and stepping onto the deck and just looking at the beauty in front of you - peaceful. I did so much talking to God on this deck. The cottage is just charming. Everything you need for that little get away. I can't wait to take my husband to enjoy God's beauty. Thank you so much for letting me share in this wonderful weekend with some very awesome ladies. Laughing, relaxing, drinking lots of coffee, playing board games, and cooking. It was GREAT. -Balinda Tuck; Lamar, MO
My family was blessed with a
three day retreat at the cottage. We were in the middle of a three week family
mission trip. With six kids in the van and covering more than 2000 miles of
road, it was just what we needed. When was the last time you “went on an
explore” (a Rienow family phrase) in the woods wondering what you would find?
When was the last time you skipped rocks on a lake? When was the last time you
woke up in the morning and said, “I wonder what we should do?” When was the
last time you didn’t have a cell phone signal and were happy about it? We sat
around the fire. We watched a movie when it rained. We spent quiet time with
God personally and worshipped Him together as a family. Thank you for
ministering to our family!
"The cottage was a perfect place for our family to escape for
a few days to rest and relax without the demands of life getting to
us. What a joy to wake up in the morning and sit upstairs by the window
with my coffee and be still listening to God. Our kids found
the bunk room great fun as they picked the perfect one for them.
It was their own personal space to sit and read or make a cave to hide
out in. We look forward to returning and getting away from our hurried
life for another weekend." - Stephanie Metzger; Emporia, KS
